How Long Will ECO4 Last?
ECO4 will last nearly four years, from July 2022 to March 2026. During this period, the scheme aims to improve energy efficiency across the UK, funding improvements for low-income and vulnerable households. What Came Before ECO4?
The first phase, ECO1, ran from January 2013 to March 2015, focusing on cutting carbon emissions and improving home heating through various obligations. The ECO2t phase extended the programme through September 2018 to ensure continued support for low-income households. ECO3 ran from December 2018 to March 2022, introducing more focused measures to assist fuel-poor households and a greater emphasis on vulnerable groups.
What Comes After ECO4?
The ECO4 scheme is still available, but discussions about its successor have already begun. A new scheme, possibly named ECO5, is anticipated to follow.
